About Your Coach
I'm Assata
I work with driven professionals who have the experience and the track record for high quality work but find themselves either in a watershed moment or still in the same place wanting something more. I help them identify what that more is and take the steps to get it.
I know what it feels like to have a no turning back moment. I left a career behind to support my spouse in his work abroad, and the impact of that decision was deeper than I ever envisioned. I became a mother at 41, making a decision to be at home that lasted longer than I intended. I consistently wrestle with the tension between self-employment and full-time work — and what that means for my identity and my future. I moved abroad to complete a Master's degree with only one semester's tuition and no guarantee of what came next.
I know what it means to stand at the edge of what was and take a step toward what could be — with more questions than answers and more hope than certainty.
I do this work because I believe deeply that we must chart our own course -Employees are the real service providers. That in spite of what we have been told — our lives can be different to the ones we have witnessed and feared. We can find love in the work we do.
I am a Career and Emotional Intelligence Coach whose work is grounded in neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and identity — creating psychologically safe spaces where professionals build clarity, strengthen self-awareness, and take ownership of their next chapter. I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation, and I bring a rich multicultural perspective shaped by living and working across the UK, Malaysia, Finland, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States.
